OUR BOATS
OPTIMIST
A traditional training boat for children 7-13 years old.
(Currently utilising waterwise boats with Whangarei Cruising Club rigs)
O-PEN SKIFF
These are single handed yachts, readily righted after capsize with no bailing.
They are fast, exciting and fun to sail but simple to rig and maintain.
The O-pen skiff is a good boat to lead in to other boats as sailors evolve.
RS FEVA
Sail Northland have a fleet of three Feva.
They are used in all our sailing programmes, junior to adult.
The Feva is suitable for two handed sailing for our smaller sailors and single handed for our more capable adults. The boats have full sailing wardrobes including asymmetrical spinnaker.
420 CLASS
A high performance 2 handed boat, used for training more advanced sailors and team sailing.
We currently have 6 x 420's available for use.
RS QUEST
We have two RS Quest boats complete with asymetrical and symmetrical spinnakers.
Everyone likes sailing the Quest either with the coach at the helm for our beginners or together with a group of 3-4 sailors.
