ICE BREAKER FUN

With the 15 - 20 knot gusts both Monday and Tuesday , it should have been called the winter blast!

The sailors went out in the 420s and Fevas on Monday and 420s, Quests and Optimists on Tuesday.

A lot was learned about heavy weather sailing and capsize recovery and everyone seemed to enjoy the experience.

Thanks to Sarah , Hana and Penelope our wonderful sailing instructors. Big welcome to Penelope who joined us as an instructor with Sail Northland for the first time. It was great to have you as part of the coaching team and we hope you continue your relationship with us in the future.

Also thanks to our trustees Mike and Tom for help on the water on Monday,

and parent Rob on Tuesday.

As always Billy and Alan were there to help with everything that needed doing, on and off the water.

Thanks guys.

And finally thank to all our sailors and their families. It is great seeing the boats out in Parua Bay blasting along.

Look forward to seeing you all out on the water this term and getting back into it.

The Ice breaker was a successful school holiday programme that we hope will be included in the calendar annually.
