Regional Regatta – North of the Bridge

The sails were up, the competition fierce, and the spirit high at the Regional Regatta – North of the Bridge, hosted right here in beautiful Northland!

We were proud to welcome teams from Rangitoto College, Whangārei Girls’ High School, Whangārei Boys’ High School and Mahurangi College, and with a buzzing atmosphere, the regatta showcased some truly exceptional talent on the water.

Congratulations to Rangitoto College, who came out on top after a strong and consistent performance throughout the event. Their teamwork, tactical sailing, and composure under pressure was impressive to watch.

But it wasn’t just about the top spot – all teams displayed excellent sailing skills, making this regatta a perfect warm-up for the National Schools Sailing Championships, set to take place in New Plymouth from 21st–25th April.

To all the sailors heading south – we’re backing you all the way. Good luck, race hard, and most importantly, enjoy the experience. We know you’ll do Northland proud!
